WHAT'S MY LEVEL?

BOOKING A SPOT

  • There are 4 spots in total assigned to each coach. Once your spot has been booked, a coach will assess each player on the court individually based on play, technique and game knowledge.

  • A minimum of THREE players are required for a levelling session. If there are THREE players, then the coach assigned will play as the fourth.

LEVELLING PROGRESSION

The level can suffer ups and downs depending on the uploaded results, but is mostly affected by the player’s reliability.

Lower reliability = more changes
Higher reliability = less changes

LEVELLING SCALE

INITIATION

0 - 1

You have little to no experience in racket sports and little aptitude or ability to play.

INITIATION - INTERMEDIATE

1 - 2

You have just started playing padel, and you are in a learning phase. You don't know tactics and positioning. You make slow returns and have difficulties with walls and long rallies.

INTERMEDIATE

2 - 3

You know the most important shots in a match, but need court experience. You need to improve your control and power but are starting to feel more comfortable with the walls and rallies.

INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED

3 - 4

You show consistency with medium-speed shots. Not 100% comfortable with all shots, but you've progressed in positioning and direction and control of mid-range shots. You still make unforced errors.

ADVANCED

4 - 5

You can anticipate the ball effects and trajectories, and know how to position yourself. You make fewer unforced errors, can control the depth of your shots and adjust your game plan. Forehand and volley have greatly improved.

ADVANCED - HIGH

5 - 6

You dominate your forehand, using it effectively for game building and net transitions. You can combine your shots to exploit opponents' weaknesses. You anticipate and deal with difficult situations.

ELITE

6 - 7

You compete at a professional level.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Being assessed by a coach to know your Playtomic level, creates a space that allows players to find people to play with, to interact and to challenge each other.
