PADEL LADDER RULES
HOW TO JOIN
-
STEP ONE
All participants are required to join the WhatsApp group (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) of the Ladder they want to participate in.
-
STEP TWO
To join a WhatsApp group, request a link for the ladder group you'd like to join and wait for approval from the Ladder Admin.
-
STEP THREE
Once joined and approved by the Ladder Admin, send through your team name onto the group. This is the name that will represent your team in the matches.
-
STEP FOUR
The Ladder Administrators will update the WhatsApp™ Ladder groups.
HOW IT WORKS
-
Any teams entering the Padel Ladder will be placed at the bottom of the ladder.
-
There is a WhatsApp™ Ladder group for each of the ladders. The Ladder Administrators will update the WhatsApp™ Ladder groups.
-
There are three Ladders: Men, Ladies and Mixed. Players may enter both applicable ladders if they wish e.g. Men’s and Mixed or Ladies’ and Mixed Ladders, and may have one entry per ladder.
-
Teams must send the match results to the WhatsApp™ Ladder group as soon as possible after the match. Any doubts or questions must be sent to the Ladder Admin, who will handle it.
LADDER GROUP RULES
CHALLENGES
The ladder groups are exclusively for proposing, organizing, and sharing results for all ladder matches. Keep all communications directly related to challenges.
SCORES
After completing your challenge match, please share your results in the group. This allows for transparency and tracking of progress within the community.
DATES
Please refrain from discussing dates and times for challenges in the group. Instead, use direct messaging to resolve scheduling conflicts with the relevant team.
RESCHEDULING
All rescheduling must be done in Playtomic and we encourage using the app chat for this purpose. Any rain-related changes will follow our Rainy Day Policy at the club, which is subject to change.
MATCH PLAY
A team can challenge those up to 3 places above or 1 place below them.
Matches must occur within 10 days of a challenge. Challenges must be accepted within 48 hours, or the challenged team loses.
Teams can't challenge each other consecutively.
Both teams must make scheduling adjustments, offering at least 3 date/time options, including a weekend day, weekday, and evening. If scheduling fails, the offending will receive a yellow card and the challenge will be released.
The winning team of the challenge will take the higher position on the ladder and all the teams below will move down one place on the ladder.
Challenges must be promptly responded to. Once scheduled, matches can't be rearranged or cancelled unless both teams agree within the original 10 days, otherwise, the offending team will receive a yellow card.
If you cannot find a match in a month, then you will be moved into the social pool (position 29).
